The customer who shot the video on his mobile phone had found that his purchase of grilled chicken from H2B Biryani Hotel in the city's G N Mills area was foul-smelling and hence complained to the hotel manager but to no avail and hence decided to alert the public through social media.

On Thursday night, a customer ordered grilled chicken from the hotel in the G N Mills area, only to find that a stench emanated when he opened the packed chicken dish and the chicken had become hard. On going back to the hotel to voice his complaint, the customer was shocked to find the hotel manager excusing the stale product sold as just a small mistake that ought not to be exaggerated.

The customer then was shocked when he opened the refrigerators and found chicken stacked and stored. On enquiring with the manager, the customer was told that it was only stored because it had to be sent to almost ten shops from the hotel.

The customer who wasn't convinced immediately recorded a video of the refrigerated chicken on his mobile phone and posted it on social media.

The video has since gone viral and the hotel has been drawing a lot of flak fromt he public for selling stale chicken. Social activists and the public have demanded that Food Safety Department authorities ought to take action against hotels involved in such malpractices that can cause health hazards to consumers.
