Amidst all ruckus, Edappadi Palanisami proves majority in assembly

Edappadi Palanisami wins the confidence motion after the Speaker evicted the opposition MLAs from the floor following a ruckus. Speaker Dhanapal has announced that Edappadi Palanisamy has won the confidence motion with 122 MLA voting in his favor and 11 MLAs opposing him.

Following this, Edappadi Palanisamy will continue to be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Opposition leader, Stalin has stated that he along with the DMK MLAs have planned to meet the Governor and explain to him about the situation that took place inside the assembly, today. However, he also stated he is sorry about the 'undesirable' incidents that took place in the Assembly. 

Opposition leader, Stalin got down from his car and stood in the road showing his torn shirt to the press as a mark of atrocity that was staged against their party members.
