Lone Elephant fatally attacks youth near Mangarai

On hearing Mahesh Kumar's cries for help, his wife Divya and his father Perumal Samy rushed out to see him dead trampled by the elephant.


Coimbatore: Mahesh Kumar, a native of Mangarai near Coimbatore, died on the spot as a wild elephant attacked him when he went out to relieve himself last night near his house.

Mahesh Kumar was working as a salesman in a private pharmaceutical company and is survived by his wife. On hearing Mahesh Kumar's cries for help, his wife Divya and his father Perumal Samy rushed out to see him dead trampled by the elephant.



When they rushed to Mahesh Kumar after the elephant left the place, they found him dead.

Thadagam police rushed to the spot and recovered Mahesh Kumar's body and sent it to the Government hospital for post-mortem.

A case has been registered and the police are investigating.
