Security beefed up to guard Class 11 and 12 Board Exam question papers in Coimbatore district

The question papers are safeguarded at 12 documentary centres in Coimbatore district and secured in a sealed room at the District Education Office with armed police security in place on a rotational basis. Surveillance cameras have also been installed.


Coimbatore: Even as Board Exam question papers for Classes 11 and 12 were brought from Chennai to Coimbatore by the Government Examinations Department, these question papers were distributed to the educational districts of Coimbatore and Pollachi.

The question papers are safeguarded at 12 documentary centres in Coimbatore district and secured in a sealed room at the District Education Office with armed police security in place.

Armed police are being deployed for security on a rotational basis. Surveillance cameras have also been installed and rooms where question papers have been stored at 11 other places in Coimbatore district are also being heavily guarded by the police.

In Tamil Nadu, the Class 12 Board Exam will commence on March 13 and end on April 3. The Board Exam for Class 11 will commence on March 14 and continue till April 5. Similarly, the SSLC general examination will be held from April 6 till 20. As many as 254 examination centres have been set up in Coimbatore district for the Board Exams.

35,541 students will be appearing for Class 12 Board Exam and 34,259 students for Class 11 Board Exam. About 41,526 students will be appearing for the SSLC public examination.
