World Glaucoma Week: College students create awareness among general public

World Glaucoma Week is observed every year from March 12 to 18 to create awareness among the general public.



Coimbatore: In view of World Glaucoma Week, being observed all around the world, college students created awareness among motorists on the arterial roads in the city about glaucoma and its treatment methods.



Glaucoma is a disease in which the visual acuity gradually decreases due to increased pressure in the eye and there is a risk of loss of vision.



It is necessary to get proper treatment for glaucoma at an early stage.



World Glaucoma Week is observed every year from March 12 to 18 to create awareness among the general public.



College students in the city created awareness among motorists and the general public on vital junctions including the Saravanampatti check post by distributing pamphlets to the public and by carrying placards.
