Career guidance programme for inmates of government hostels hosted in the city


A career guidance programme was hosted for the students who stay at the hostels run by Backward class and the Minority welfare department in Coimbatore. About 214 students who study 10th standard., 186 students studying 12th standard and 630 students studying in colleges were trained in this programme. The training took place at the conference hall of the Nirmala College for Women.

District employment officer Jothimani, Pa.Suresh district backward class and minorities welfare officer guided the participants on various job opportunities that await them in future. He also educated the participants on the required skills that they should acquire to be eligible for the job.

Assistant collector (Trainee) Ms. Priyanka was present during the training.

Students from the hostels along with their wardens participated in this programme.
