'PM participating in an event hosted by a religious leader with several accusations will set a bad example'' says Marxist Leninist party

Kumarasamy, General Secretary of the Marxist Leninist party today met the press at Coimbatore. During this meeting, he said, “AIADMK Chief Ministers who have headed the government in the past and in the present have been declared as 'accused' by the courts'.

“Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy should announce publicly that his government will not be run by those accused and that he will selflessly work for the welfare of the state. To the contrary,  Edappadi Palanisamy announcing in public that he would follow their (past CM's) footsteps and govern the State clearly indicates that they are unfit to rule the state', he said.

'In this recent political chaos, people's welfare has been put in jeopardy, several pressing issues in the state has left unattended' he alleged.

'Prime minister Modi's should not revoke his idea of attending the consecration of the statue to an ashram belonging to a tainted religious leader, Jaggi Vasusdev, who is accused of grabbing acres of land from the tribal people, encroachment of forest land, abuse of natural resources and many more. As the matter is subjudice, Prime Minister participating in an event hosted by Jaggi will set a very bad example', he said.

“Protests will be hosted on 22nd and 23rd in various parts of the city condemning the PM, if his visit is confirmed. Regarding the allegations raised on non-payment of remuneration to the journalist of print media companies and attack on journalists by ganja mafia is highly condemnable.” Kumarasamy, General Secretary of the Marxist Leninist party, said.
