Chennai: Erode East MLA EVKS Elangovan, who was admitted to the hospital due to chest pain, is doing fine, hospital authorities said.
EVKS Elangovan, who contested on a Congress ticket in the recently held by-election in Erode East constituency, was elected to the Legislative Assembly by winning by a margin of over 65,000 votes in the DMK alliance. Following this, he was sworn in as an MLA.
Meanwhile, EVKS Elangovan was admitted to a private hospital in Porur, Chennai yesterday (15.03.2023) after he complained of chest pain. It was reported widely that he has been admitted to the intensive care unit due to chest pain and is being treated by cardiologists.
The hospital administration has released a report stating that he got admitted for chest infection.
