Video on Instagram with a strap knife - police are interrogating a young man from Coimbatore

Following the arrest of Tamannaah for posting a video with a dagger on Instagram in Coimbatore, a youth named Gautham, a native of Maruthampalayam, was arrested and interrogated at Kuniyamuthur police station.


Coimbatore: Two gangsters, Sathya Pandian and Gokul, were recently murdered in Coimbatore on the following day. Gokul was killed on the court road. Rowdy Sathyapandian was chased, hacked to death and shot dead in Aavarampalayam area.

Coimbatore City Police Commissioner K Balakrishnan ordered the formation of a special squad to arrest the killers behind the killing of goons.

Based on this, the arrested rowdies were questioned. During investigation, it was revealed that some goons had released a video on social media with deadly weapons and spewed hatred.

In this situation, the police had planned to nab those who posted videos with weapons on social media.

An investigation conducted by the Special Cell police in this regard including more than ten TikTok rowdies in a single day, in the first search operation, more than 40 goons were arrested.

In this situation, the woman, Tamannah alias Vinodhini, who had posted the video with a patta knife, was arrested by the police and sent to jail.

Following this, the Coimbatore police are constantly monitoring the social media. Based on this, a youth named Gautham, a native of Maruthampalayam in Coimbatore, the police found that the video was posted on their social media page with a dagger.

After seeing the video, which was posted to create tension in the society, the police said, the youth, Gautham, has been arrested and is being interrogated at Kuniyamuthur police station.
