4 sovereigns of gold jewellery stolen by unidentified persons in the name of securing loans

Peelamedu police are on the lookout for an unidentified person who stole 4 sovereigns of gold ornaments from Gunaselvi, who was walking in Peelamedu area of Coimbatore on the pretext of getting a personal loan.


Chennai: Gunaselvi (50) is a resident of AD Colony near Peelamedu in Coimbatore. He works at a private restaurant in Avinashi Road area.

While she was walking on the road, an unidentified person who was passing by spoke nicely.

He said he was working on a loan from a leading bank and would give you a personal loan if he wanted to.

When Gunaselvi told him that she needed a loan, he took the woman to a bank. As soon as she approached the bank, the miscreant said that if you come wearing jewellery and ask for a loan, you will not get a personal loan, he said, and bought the four sovereigns of gold jewellery that Gunaselvi was wearing and gave it to her as if it were folded on paper.

In this situation, Gunaselvi was asked to wait in the bank and informed her that he was getting some of the documents. That person didn't come back.

After a while, when he opened the folded paper, gunaselvi was shocked to find that there was no gold jewellery in it and a stone in it.

Based on a complaint lodged by him at peelamedu police station, the police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the absconding person with the jewellery.
