Mother and Daughter end life by jumping before a running train near Somanur

During the Police investigation, it was found out that the two ended their lives after a family quarrel.


Tirupur: The TN Railway police on Monday recovered two bodies of Mother and daughter who ended their lives by jumping in front of the passing train near Somanur.

The deceased were identified as Dhanalakshmi and her daughter Rakshana.

During the Police investigation, it was found out that the two ended their lives after a family quarrel.

Saravanan, a power loom owner from the Samalapuram, Paramasivam Palayam area near Sulur, is the husband and father of the two deceased women.

According to sources, Rakshana, a student of class eleven along with her mother left the house the previous morning of the incident, but never returned..

Following which Saravanan was clueless about their whereabouts..

Later on Monday morning, it was found out that the two women were hit by a train near the Somanur railway bridge.

The Karumathambatti Police who reached the spot alerted the Tirupur Railway Police, who rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, which were sent for post mortem to the Tirupur Government Hospital

Further police investigations are on.
