Bihari youth arrested for peddling candy-shaped cannabis on Kerala Bypass road in Coimbatore

Special police force seized 4 1/2 kg of the cannabis chocolates, arrested both Bihari youth and imprisoned them after producing them in Court.


Coimbatore: Based on a tip-off that cannabis chocolates were being sold on Kerala Bypass road in Coimbatore on Monday, a special police force seized four and a half kilos of candy-shaped cannabis. Two Bihari youth involved in the illegal sale were arrested and imprisoned after being produced in Court.

The special police force received information about the movement of cannabis near a popular bakery on Kochi Bypass Road near Sulur's Chinthamani Pudur area in Coimbatore. Based on the information, the Special Police Force who were patrolling the area after having received the tip-off arrested two youth who were standing on the road.

On investigating the youth, it was revealed that a leather bag full of cannabis in the shape of chocolates was used to peddle drugs.



The two youth have been identified as Dilsanth Sada and Rajkumar from Bihar, who seem to have smuggled cannabis chocolates by train and sold them to other North Indians.



The police produced the seized cannabis which was camouflaged as green-coloured chocolates before the Court.
