Congress leader Mayura Jayakumar seeks action against corrupt officials who leaked names of NEET aspirants, petitions Police Commissioner

'Some of the private NEET coaching institutes have illegally acquired the student details with the sole intention of commercializing NEET coaching, and they are forcing parents to get admissions for their wards in their institutes,' Congress leader Mayura Jayakumar said.



Coimbatore: The Congress cadres led by its National Secretary Mayura S Jayakumar submitted a petition at the city Police Commissioner's office demanding action against the corrupt officials responsible for leaking the details of the students, who have applied for the NEET examinations.

Alleging that the names of students, who have applied for NEET through the Central Government's website have been leaked to private coaching centres, who in turn harass the students and parents to join their coaching institutes.



“Some of the private NEET coaching institutes have illegally acquired the student details with the sole intention of commercializing NEET coaching, and they are forcing parents to get admissions for their wards in their institutes”.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mayura Jayakumar said and alleged, that“the officials responsible for conducting NEET are involved in the biggest cyber scam this year. The private coaching institutes are trying to extort money from the parents of the NEET aspirants”



The petitioners sought legal action against both the NEET officials and the private institutes who harass students through unsolicited phone calls.
