Special shelter with CCTV, air cooler facilities for traffic cops in Coimbatore

City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan inaugurated a shelter with CCTV cameras, loudspeakers and air coolers for the traffic police personnel engaged in controlling traffic congestion at Bison Corner on Oppanakara Road in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Traffic cops engaged in controlling traffic in the sun during the summer season are usually provided with juice, buttermilk, solar caps, etc.



In this situation, a shelter has been set up for the police personnel engaged in controlling the traffic congestion at Bison Corner on Oppanakara Road in Coimbatore.



The shelter has been equipped with air cooler facility so that the police do not get tired in the sun. A CCTV camera and a loudspeaker have also been installed in the shed. This was well received by the traffic police.



Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan inaugurated the new shelter shed.



Balakrishnan later told reporters, “At present, a shelter has been set up with loudspeakers and CCTV cameras at the important junction, which is heavily crowded and crowded. This will also help the police to keep a constant watch on all 4 sides without difficulty and reduce accidents.

Similarly, we are going to set up shelters at other important junctions. Since it is summer season, the policemen are being given soft drinks. However, such shelters will make it easier for policemen to work.

As the road works are currently going on at some places, shelters will be constructed after the completion of the works.
