As the car festival at Perur Patteeswarar temple in Coimbatore district began a few days ago with the hoisting of the national flag on the occasion of Panguni Uthiram festival. On the occasion of Panguni Uthiram festival, the car festival at Perur Patteeswarar temple in Coimbatore district began a few days ago with the hoisting of the national flag.
In this situation, maha abhishekam was performed to panchamurtis with 16 kinds of perfumes along with various kinds of plates last night. This was followed by the thirukkalyana utsava festival, which is the main event of the festival.
In this, homams were performed to Lord Patteeswara and Maragathambigai Ambal with silk robes and ornaments. Later, Thirumangalyam was offered to Marakambigai Ambal. Thereafter, Lord Patteeswara and Mother Maragathambinai appeared before the devotees.
Following this, devotees performed padanamaskar and performed thirukalyana moi ceremony. Of this, Rs 22,692 was given by the devotees.
