PM Narendra Modi’s letter to Coimbatore women: praising the women for promoting unity and diversity

The Kashi Tamil Sangam event took place on November 16th, 2018 in Kashi. Approximately 2500 people registered online for this, travelling by special trains from 12 various locations in Tamil Nadu to Kashi. All of the participants in the Tamil Sangam programmes who went home afterward penned a letter to Indian Prime Minister Modi detailing the activities of this Tamil Sangam.



Coimbatore: In a letter of response, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged the Coimbatore lady from Tamil Nadu who visited the Kashi Tamil Sangh to safeguard the nation's diversity.

On November 16, 2018, Kashi hosted the Kashi Tamil Sangam event. From 12 various locations in Tamil Nadu to Kashi by special trains, about 2500 people registered online for this. All those who finished the Tamil Sangam programmes and went home to India did so by writing a note to Indian Prime Minister Modi outlining the events of this Tamil Sangam.



The Kashi Tamil Sangh event in this instance was attended by Tulsi Ammal and Rajamani from the Muthugoundanpudur neighborhood of Sulur, who also wrote a message to Prime Minister Modi about the event.



The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, responded to this in a letter penned in Tamil, stating that everyone can feel the diversity of India.

The national administration wants to bring the diverse cultures of the nation together. We should appreciate the kindness and warmth shown to the Kashi Tamil Sangh.



Tulsi Ammal has overexcitedly reacted to the response and the news that has since circulated about it online. According to Tulsi Ammal, attending the Kashi Tamil Sangh event was a joy. She also toured the temples there, including the Ram temple, where the locals warmly greeted the Tamils. The programmes conducted at the Kashi Tamil Sangh, she said, "help in the development of Tamil and enhancement of Tamil Culture. We had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi regarding them."
