The Rotary Club of Coimbatore South has donated Rs 3 lakh to the treatment of diabetic children in Tamil Nadu. This donation was made to the Hearts Foundation.
Coimbatore: The Hearts Foundation is supplying insulin medicines and accessories at low cost to children suffering from diabetes in Tamil Nadu. The Rotary Club of Coimbatore South organised a diabetes rescue programme in Hopes, Coimbatore, near the Coimbatore Medical College.

In order to provide a healthy existence for diabetic children. The office bearers of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore South presented a check for Rs 3 lakh to the Hearts Foundation for insulin medicines.
Later, Dr Krishnan Swaminathan, founder president of The Hearts Foundation, told reporters, "Thank you for this help from Rotary." Rotary will help 70 youngsters in need of insulin during the next two months, he said. Rotary Governor Rajmohan Nair and other Rotary leaders were also present.
