Gang of faux cops abduct real estate baron in Coimbatore and steal Gold

Sajeev (42) is a Pavakkal native who lives in the Krishnagiri district's Uthangarai. A group of seven men posing as police officers brought the real estate baron to Coimbatore where they robbed him of gold valued Rs. 12 lakh. The Coimbatore Kattoor police have filed a case and opened an investigation.


Coimbatore: Police are searching for a group that posed as policemen to kidnap a real estate baron and steal gold worth Rs 12 lakh.

Sajeev (42) is a Pavakkal native who lives in the Krishnagiri district's Uthangarai. He resides in Dollar Company area of Bangalore. His family lives in Pallavaram, Chennai.

Sajeev runs a real estate business. In this situation, a few days ago, some people from Chennai contacted Sajeev on his mobile phone and spoke to him. They wanted to buy land in Krishnagiri.

So, on The 8th, Sajeev booked a room and stayed in a hotel in Krishnagiri. He was also involved in the task of selling the land to individuals who had travelled from Chennai to buy the land.

In this case, on The 10th, a gang of seven people came to the hotel room. Sajeev, who was alone at the time, said, "You are deceiving the public by selling land and iridium. They abducted him in a car saying that he wanted to investigate the matter.

From there, they took him to karur, namakkal and other places and threatened him with details of his property. Following this, sajeev was brought to Coimbatore by a seven-member gang who took a room in a hotel in Gandhipuram and locked him up there.

Sajeev knew three of the visitors: Gibson, Sibin, and Alex. Later, Sajeev was threatened by the 10 men as they sought Rs 30 lakh from him. He handed him the 10,000 rupees he had and stated he was making arrangements for it.

It is learnt that the gang then threatened and snatched a 30-pound gold chain, bracelet and three rings worth Rs 12 lakh from him. The gang then took Sajeev in a car and dropped him off at a toll gate on the way to Salem and fled. The gang was abducted in a car.

Sajeev filed the complaint to the Coimbatore Kattoor police station. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and are looking for a gang of 10 people who abducted a real estate baron in a car with a car registration number and stole Rs 12 lakh gold
