A tragic tale of betrayal: Wife stabbed to death by Husband over an illegitimate relationship

Nivetha (24) was reported to be deceased, having been married to Ganesan a few years prior. The couple had committed to an inter-caste love marriage, despite all objections, and were said to have two children.

Coimbatore :According to reports, Ganesan stabbed his wife to death with a kitchen knife and escaped to the place in Sulur, Coimbatore.

A murderous rage over an illegitimate association of a wife with a man from the same neighborhood has alarmed the residents of the area.

According to reports, Nivetha (24), the deceased, was married to Ganesan a few years ago. It should be noted that the two married against all odds in an inter-caste love marriage and were said to have two children.

In this situation, Ganesan, a labourer, lived with his wife Nivetha in Pallapalayam, near Sulur in Coimbatore. It was recently alleged that Nivetha had an affair with another man named Murugan from the same area.

Despite multiple warnings from her husband, Nivetha continued to maintain a relationship with Murugan. Recently, when Ganesan returned home, Nivetha and Murugan were seen spending their private time at his house. Cautioned by her husband's arrival, Murugan escaped the spot. The outraged husband immediately stabbed his wife Nivetha multiple times with a kitchen knife.

Suspicious of a loud cry and scream, the neighbours arrived at the scene to find Nivetha brutally murdered in a pool of blood; Ganesan then fled the scene.

Based on the accusations of the neighbours, the police opened an investigation and transferred Nivetha's body to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, police are looking for the missing husband.
