Empowered learning: Private Company initiates Computer centre in Government School in Coimbatore

A computer centre has been set up at a cost of Rs 15 lakh for the students studying in Government Higher Secondary School, Naickanpalayam, Coimbatore on behalf of Coimbatore-based Consortium Institute.


Coimbatore: A private company has set up a computer centre at a government school in Naickanpalayam.



Coimbatore based Confidential Private Limited, has established a 'Computer Centre' in the Government Higher Secondary School, Naickanpalayam, Coimbatore, as part of a new technology-driven education initiative.



To help 500 students of this government school, modern computers, uninterrupted electrical equipment and basic amenities for the computer centre, tables and chairs have been provided at a cost of Rs.15 lakhs. This will enable the students to study with modern technological facilities in tune with the changing times and move on the path of development.

Vanitha Mohan, President of Pricol, was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the computer centre, saying, "Students should make good use of the computer centre and move ahead in life." From a long-term view, such activities are essential for the country's prosperity. I wholeheartedly applaud Rakesh ji for his honest participation in such activities for the future's benefit in the changing educational environment."



"For social welfare, such modern infrastructure is not only a matter of responsibility, but also a good opportunity to participate in the country's development," stated Rakesh Ramanand, Managing Director of Consortium. Everyone in Government and private organisations should be involved in social development. These combined ventures will assure a prosperous future for future generations.

A computer centre has been opened in this Government Higher Secondary School for the benefit of more than 100 students from class 6 to 12 in the first phase. And in the coming period, we will hold discussions with the school authorities and teachers and cater to other essential needs as well."

Thakshaini Rakesh, director of Consolidated Pvt Ltd, shared her thoughts on the initiative: "Investing in education is an investment in the future, and the role of consolidate in shaping that future for these students brings joy," she added.

A computer centre, an uninterrupted electrical appliance, tables, seats, and other essential necessities were handed over to Rajendran, the headmaster of the Government Higher Secondary School in Naickanpalayam village.

Teachers, employees of Consolated Private Limited, students and others participated in large numbers on the occasion. The consortium sells Apple's products through the i Plant brand. The company also runs Mia jewellery stores offered by Sony, LG, Linen Club and Tanishq.
