The accused has been identified as Naveen alias Muthu Balaji (33), an engineering graduate from Aminjikarai in Chennai.
Coimbatore: Cyber Crime Police have arrested Muthubalaji, a native of Aminjikarai in Chennai, for allegedly duping an engineer in Coimbatore on the pretext of giving more profits to invest in online trading.
Senthil Vadivel (54) is a resident of K.R. Puram Murugan Koil Street in Coimbatore and he is a Mechanical Engineer. A friend who got introduced to him on social media had lured him to invest in online trading.

Believing this to be true, Senthil Vadivel invested Rs 1 lakh. But, as promised, there was no profit shown. When Senthil Vadivel insisted to return his money, Muthuraj switched off his phone. Following this, Senthil lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore City Cyber Crime Police
Based on this, a case was registered under sections of the Criminal Breach of Trust and Information Technology Act. The accused has been identified as Naveen alias Muthu Balaji (33), an engineering graduate from Aminjikarai in Chennai.
Following this, the police arrested Naveen alias Muthu Balaji and produced him in court and remanded him in custody.
