The Thadagam police have seized ganja smuggled from Kottathurai in Kerala near the Anaikatti check point in Coimbatore. Muthuraj and Ranjith were arrested and imprisoned in this case.
Coimbatore: The Thadagam police are taking different measures to restrict the selling of ganja within the Coimbatore Thadagam police boundaries.
As part of this, Thadagam police station sub-inspector Arumuga Nainar and constables Jana, Ramu, and Vasanth conducted vehicle checks near Anaikatti checkpoint.
At the time, two people riding a two-wheeler from Kottathurai in Kerala were stopped and checked. At the time, it was revealed that they were smuggling ganja for sale.
Following that, they were taken to the police station and interrogated.
It was confirmed that both of them were Muthuraj of Kovilmedu and Ranjith of Sathyamangalam.
Following this, the police registered a case against the two and arrested them and lodged them in coimbatore central jail.
The police also seized the ganja they were carrying for sale.
