Speaking to reporters in Tirupur, MDMK floor leader Duraisamy said a resolution was being passed to remove him in the name of Vaiko's instigation and that the true cadres of MDMK were wholeheartedly supporting him.
Tirupur: MDMK leader Duraisamy has alleged that a resolution to remove him was passed at the instigation of Vaiko.
At a press conference, MDMK general secretary Vaiko had said that he would ignore the letter written by MDMK floor leader Duraisamy. MDMK leader Duraisamy held a press conference at his residence in Tirupur today.
Then he spoke,

The reason for saying that MDMK should be merged with the DMK was because a large number of youths joined the MDMK believing in Vaiko's vibrant speeches. However, the recognition has now been revoked as a result of the General Secretary's action.
To save this, I insisted on merging with the DMK. Vaiko said his letter was being ignored. In the letter, he has ignored the questions asked about the party's norms as he could not directly answer them.
He owns properties in 45 locations across Tamil Nadu. All of them are not in his personal name. It is in the name of the general secretary and treasurer of the union. All of them were purchased even before the MDMK was launched.
But the thayagam building, the headquarters of the MDMK, has been claimed in vaiko's personal name. So far, the party's treasurer has not signed any cheques. Vaiko has signed for and utilised the bank funds.
No worker sincerely thinks that he is being removed from the party. It is at vaiko's instigation that a letter and a resolution are being sent to remove him. I insisted on joining the DMK because I was worried that those who had been in the party for 30 years were being cheated.
I am going to move away from my political career and follow the path of Anna Periyar. Vaiko is afraid that someone will kick him out of the party or take action against him.
Durai Vaiko, who had failed in all of his endeavours, intended to expand the party by producing a film. But, once again, it failed. Each district secretary has suffered a loss of up to Rs 2 lakh for that. Thus, he spoke.
