Robbery at Coimbatore Gold Jewellery Dealer: Two Suspects Arrested in Kerala

The Special Task Force (STF) police have arrested two more persons, Pramod and Sunil, both residents of Palakkad district, in connection with the rs 4.00 lakh robbery case in which they were robbed of Rs 4.0 lakh by threatening kerala jewellers Rohith and Bharath with weapons near K.K. Chavadi in Coimbatore.

On March 26, the duo sold 600 grams of gold to Nanda Ganesh, a wholesaler from Raja Veedhi in Coimbatore, and collected the money.

They remained in Coimbatore and left for Kerala the next morning on their two-wheeler.

Miscreants in a car and a two-wheeler intercepted the two on their way from K.K.Chavadi at Bichanur on Velanthavalam road, threatened them with a knife, snatched Rs 4 lakh from them, and fled.

Bharath filed a complaint with the K.K. Chavadi police station. Based on this, the police formed a special team and began searching for the culprits.

The Kerala police detained four people on Sunday: Mithoon (28), Ranjith (22), Abhinesh (27) and Ranjith Kumar (32). They are all Palakkad residents.

Yesterday, Pramod (34) and Sunil (46), both residents of Kolinjaparai in Palakkad district, were detained by the Special Task Force (STF), which was camping in Kerala in pursuit of some of the absconding people.

The police brought the two to Coimbatore for questioning, and they were eventually taken before a court and imprisoned.
