Selva Vinayagar Temple in Chinnar village near Palladam celebrated the Kumbabishekku ceremony and the annual function of Maakaliamman Temple. Annadhanam was given to all the devotees who participated in the festival.
Tirupur:Arulmigu Selva Vinayagar Thirukkovil "Thirukkuda Nanneerattu festival" and Makaliamman Temple anniversary celebrations were held at Chinnur village near Palladam in Tirupur district today.
On the 2nd of last month, as the festival began with the taking of the thirukkudams and the sprouts, the first level of poojas of the sacrificial road, the thiruvaiyil pooja, the sacrificial stage worship, etc., were performed in a grand manner.

Following this, the main event was the "Thirukkuda Nanneerattu festival" for the vimana kalash of Selva Vinayaka moolavar temple. Under the leadership of Muthu Sivaramasamy Adigalar, a saint of Chenseri Malai Adinam Kayilai, theertha pots were brought from the yagasalai, mantras were chanted as per Tamil customs, holy water was poured on the vimana kalash and the "Thirukkuda Nanneerattu festival" was held.

Following this, special poojas were performed to the presiding deity of Lord Vinayaka and the devotees were shown Maha Deeparadhana.

Similarly, on the occasion of the anniversary of Maakaliamman temple, holy water was poured into the gopuram kalash and pooja were performed.
