Celebrating Narasimha Jayanthi at ISKCON Jagannath Temple, Coimbatore

Iskcon Jagannath Temple in Coimbatore was decorated with flowers and fruits on the occasion of Narasimha Jayanthi. Thousands of devotees from the surrounding areas participated and offered prayers.



Coimbatore: Narasimha Jayanthi was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at the ISKCON Jagannath Temple in Coimbatore.

Iskcon Jagannath Temple in Coimbatore was decorated with flowers and fruits on the occasion of Narasimha Jayanthi.



More than 1,000 devotees participated in the festival. A special go pooja was performed as the opening ceremony of the festival. Narasimha Homam was then performed.

The devotees offered prayers with chants of "Jaya Narasimha Sri Narasimha Jaya Narasimha Jaya Narasimha".

This was followed by abhishek to Lord Narasimha and a lecture on Narasimha's leelas, maha aarti and prasad feast.

At the end of the ceremony, the Anukalpa Prasadam was distributed to the devotees who fasted throughout the day.

Iskcon officials said that food will be distributed to help the poor and needy in many parts of Coimbatore.
