Tirupur: The residents of Kosavampalayam area have lodged a complaint with the Deputy Superintendent of Police seeking to nab the trousers who roam around at night in Palladam.

Four days ago, at Kosavampalayam Road, TMS Garden and Chinnaiah Garden near Palladam, during the night hours, he applied grease all over his body and wore only half pants. Three robbers have been roaming around from house to house.

The CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, causing panic among the people of the area. The Palladam police have intensified patrolling on the basis of cctv footage and are on the lookout for the dauser robbers.

In this situation, the residents of Kosavampalayam Road, TMS Garden and Chinnaiah Garden met Palladam Deputy Superintendent of Police Sowmya today and submitted a complaint.

"It is shocking and life-threatening to see the CCTV footage of the douser robbers roaming in our area, where more than 200 families live, at night with the intention of carrying out robbery attempts with deadly weapons, applying smooth liquid on their bodies and attempting robbery with deadly weapons," the petition said.

In the same area, dauser robbers were involved in robberies a year ago. Patrolling should be stepped up to prevent murder and robbery attempts and to provide protective protection to women, children and the elderly as they are alone in the house. Quick action should be taken and the Dauser robbers should be arrested. This was stated in the petition.

DSP Soumya requested the public to inform the police station while on their way out as it was summer season that patrolling has been intensified and they will soon catch the Dauser robbers.

In a bid to create panic among the people of Palladam area, the public has demanded the early arrest of the Dauser robbers who are roaming around with deadly weapons at night.
