Coimbatore Dist. Collector announces online photography contest ahead of Valparai Summer Festival 2023

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati announced that people will be able to participate in an online photography competition by submitting photos of nature, culture, historical monuments and events in Coimbatore district, ahead of the Summer Festival to be held in Valparai.


Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that an online photo competition will be held as part of the Valparai Summer Festival 2023.

The Collector stated, "An online photography competition will be held on the occasion of the Valparai Summer Festival 2023.

Those who are interested can participate in this competition.

The Coimbatore district administration will organise the Valparai Summer Festival 2023 from May 26 to 28 at the Government Higher Secondary School premises in Valparai.

The theme of the photos can be any one of the following:

1. Plants/Animals of Coimbatore District

2. Art/Culture/Festivals in Coimbatore District

3. Scenery/Historical Monuments of Coimbatore District

The contestants will have to send in their photographs in .jpg format along with their details to the email address [email protected] before 10 pm on May 25.

The first prize of Rs. 3,000, the second prize of Rs. 2,000 and the third prize of Rs. 1,000 will be awarded to the winners.

The photographs submitted for the competition will be displayed for public viewing at the photo exhibition of the summer festival.

Therefore, interested candidates are requested to participate in the competition."
