Anees, a school student from Anna Nagar, attempted suicide after he scored low marks in the Class X examination and was admitted for treatment. The district collector enquired about the health of the student.
He then told the student, "I have become the district collector after failing my 10th exams. Why can’t you? You have to study better and get good marks in 12th. Call me on the phone and tell me what your 12th marks are.

I have spoken to your school headmaster that you’re also a volleyball player and you play well. Don't worry about anything!”
The District Collector advised the student who tried to commit suicide by giving him mental strength.

As the Palladam government hospital does not have toilet facilities, patients have to walk up to the bus stand. The District Collector has directed the Chief Medical Officer to put up guide banners at the place where the Siddha unit room is located and take immediate action on the demands made by the public.
