Aghori sat on the body of the deceased in Sulur and performed puja in the style of 'Naan Kadavul' movie

Manikandan, a native of Kurumbapalayam near Sulur, committed suicide by consuming poison due to a family dispute. One of his friends, an Aghori, sat on his body in the style of 'Naan Kadavul' and performed Shiva puja.

Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, an aghori priest performed 'Shiva Puja' and performed the final rites of a deceased in Sulur.

Manikandan hails from Kurumbapalayam near Sulur in Coimbatore district. He was working as an ambulance driver. He reportedly had a difference of opinion with his wife. He had been arguing with his wife for the past two months.

Manikandan committed suicide by consuming poison yesterday as he was depressed due to family problems. In this situation, the aghori from Trichy, who had been friends with Manikandan since childhood, hearing the news of his death, came to Sulur and attended the funeral.

At that moment the Aghori sat on Manikandan's body, doing Kalabhairava puja with Shiva instruments while surrounded by aghoris, precisely like the Aghoris of Kasi do when performing final rites.

On being informed about this, the public came to the cremation ground and watched the Shiva puja of Aghori Swamiji in amazement. The incident has created a stir in the area.
