Wrestlers stage protest Demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, laid siege to Coimbatore railway station

Wrestlers faced legal repercussions when they attempted to lay siege to the Parliament during the opening ceremony of the new Parliament. Despite their arrest, they offered to throw their medals they had earned into the river Ganga in protest. Talks were held and the medal-throwing operation was stopped, though the wrestlers' struggle is still ongoing.

Coimbatore: Wrestlers have been protesting for several days against Wrestling Coaching Federation president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accusing him of sexual harassment.

However, no action was taken, and the wrestlers were apprehended by police when they attempted to lay siege to the Parliament during the opening ceremony of the new Parliament. They then offered to throw their medals into the Ganga. Talks were then held, and the medal-throwing operation was halted. As the wrestlers' struggle continues, they are receiving support from various associations.

SFI, DYFI, and other organisations gathered at the Coimbatore railway station in support of the wrestlers and demanded the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

More than 50 people took part in the protest, raising slogans and holding placards and flags of their organisation.

They then attempted to enter the railway station, sat on the road, and protested as the police stopped them.

The police later arrested more than 50 protesters and put them in a vehicle.

This led to a tense situation in the area for some time.
