Iconic Nilgiris Mountain Rail derailed yesterday

The Nilgiris Mountain Rail was on its way to Mettupalayam from Coonoor railway station when two wheels of a coach suddenly derailed and fell off the tracks. None of the passengers were injured in the accident. The staff are in the process of renovation.

Ooty hill train derailed and met with an accident in The Nilgiris district. Two wheels of the mountain train compartment came down from the tracks, causing a commotion. None of the passengers were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred when the accident took place when they were on their way to Mettupalayam from Coonoor railway station. Train services have been affected due to the ongoing work of repairing the compartment that landed on the tracks.
