Hail India’s UPI digital payment system: India tops the list of digital payments in the world

With 8.95 crore transactions, India has overtaken other countries to top the global rankings for digital payments. Brazil is ranked 2nd, Followed by China (3rd), Thailand (4th) and South Korea (5th).



New Delhi: India has been ranked number one in the global rankings for digital payments. 

In a statement, the central government said, “India has overtaken other countries to top the list of digital transactions with 8.95 crore transactions. Brazil was ranked second on the list with 29.2 million transactions, followed by China with 17.6 million transactions. 

Moreover, Thailand is ranked 4th with 16.5 million digital transactions, followed by South Korea at the 5th position with transactions worth 8 million. 

At a time when the government is making efforts to create awareness among the people about digital payments, India has topped the list in digital payments.
