Can the Chief Minister say that Senthil Balaji has not done anything wrong? - Vanathi Srinivasan

Speaking to reporters ahead of the BJP event in Coimbatore, Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan questioned, "Can the Chief Minister say that Senthil Balaji did not do anything wrong during his tenure as a minister?" Can the BJP be blamed politically accountable for this?

Coimbatore: BJP women's wing national president Vanathi Srinivasan has questioned whether the Chief Minister can say that Senthil Balaji did not do anything wrong when he was a minister.

BJP women's wing national president Vanathi Srinivasan addressed a press conference at a private hotel in Ram Nagar area near Coimbatore.

Then she spoke,

"On behalf of the Coimbatore City District, we are conducting a mass communication movement from June 1 to 30, as decided by the national leadership." Today, a forum meeting has been held for all people who served as local representatives in the city district, candidates who stood for the BJP in local body elections, and senior functionaries of the party.

Throughout the month, the BJP has been busy seeing beneficiaries of the central government's schemes, interacting with them, and meeting individually with party functionaries about the achievements it has made for the country and the people in the last nine years. As far as Coimbatore is concerned, the BJP had got local body representatives even when it stood alone.

We have always had a sizable BJP vote share in the region. Even now, the people of Coimbatore have elected a BJP legislator to the Assembly. We have been running numerous programmes to strengthen our vote bank and influence of the party.

We have always maintained a significant vote share in the region for the BJP. Even now, the people of Coimbatore have given an MLA on behalf of the BJP in the Assembly. We have been conducting various programmes to increase our vote bank and increase the influence of the party.

How can the former local body representatives and contesting candidates who have come today be actively involved in party work and improve their influence in their area?

The meeting will discuss what kind of schemes of the Modi government can be taken up so that they can succeed in transforming them into local representatives. The situation in Tamil Nadu has been escalating over the last two days.

Since minister Senthil Balaji's portfolio has now been transferred to other persons, he referred to Senthil Balaji as a former minister.

He was arrested by the ED and is currently in the hospital owing to his medical state. The chief minister of the state and the DMK and its allies are making protest statements, holding protests every day and every time, spreading misinformation in front of the people that the BJP and the Prime Minister are responsible for all of this by a particular political party.

The state's chief minister has stated that no one can scare or force us to kneel down. Is he referring to the BJP government at the Centre? Is he referring to the Supreme Court, which ruled no? I'm baffled.

The chief minister is looking at whether the BJP can be blamed politically. Have you ever said that he has not done anything wrong with these people who claim to be harassing him? Can the Chief Minister say that Senthil Balaji is innocent and did not do anything wrong during his tenure as a minister? So on the one hand, what you have said earlier is like asking if all this is all about you, as in a movie.

The Supreme Court directed the ED investigation and is going on accordingly. It is the duty of the persons concerned to fully cooperate with the investigation. It is the state government's responsibility to provide full cooperation to it.

People would not believe that the coalition parties should leave all of this behind and stage all of this drama in order to mislead the public by claiming that they had the opportunity to stand together on the same platform.

The BJP has recently stated how much corruption exists. Senthil Balaji, who asked for proof at the time, is now harassing and threatening me. The ED has proof of all of this.

He can give an answer to that in the court. The chief minister and his cabinet colleagues should first come out of the mindset that no one can do anything to us.

Whoever is the groom or the father-in-law of the perpetrators, they must face everything according to the law. The court has now intervened, not the party administration. The BJP's policy is for the rule of law to be implemented.

It is a habit of lying that has nothing to do with the DMK. Let us state that the state president has said that the DMK files will announce the next one. We saw kolusu, hot boxes, and everything else that was delivered to every home in the recently conducted local body elections.

Even during the elections, the DMK gave money in my constituency. Every department in the Central Government is functioning independently. Those departments have nothing to do with the party.

This is a democratic country where all of the rights mentioned by Seeman are protected. He is enjoying his right to speech the BJP has been subjected to this situation and even if they have done wrong on various issues, including demonetisation, action has not been taken against them.

Whoever makes a mistake takes action. Senthil Balaji is close to the chief minister's family and has gone into the mind of the chief minister. I have to ask him and tell him how the person who abused the chief minister has gone into his mind. This is what she said.
