Coimbatore: The Coimbatore All India Christians' Association submitted a memorandum to the Coimbatore district collector, requesting security measures against the attacks on churches during the Manipur riots.
In the last few days, Manipur has witnessed a series of riots and killings. A petition was submitted to the Coimbatore District Collector on behalf of the Coimbatore All India Christians Association seeking immediate action from the Central government in this regard.
They said the army should be sent to Manipur immediately to control the riots. At the same time, they submitted a memorandum to the Coimbatore District Collector stating that the riots had a lot of religious overtones and that the government should take quick action and ensure protection to Christians in Manipur.
