Tirupur: A complaint has been lodged at the district collectorate on behalf of the BJP alleging that it is trying to grab land worth Rs 100 crore belonging to Thirumuruganathaswamy temple in Thirumuruganpoondi.

The BJP has submitted a memorandum to the District Collector alleging that attempts are being made to grab land worth Rs 100 crore belonging to the Thirumuruganathaswamy temple at Thirumuruganpoondi in Tirupur district.

According to the petition, the land belonging to Thirumuruganathaswamy temple at Thirumuruganpoondi in Tirupur district belongs to 8 acres of land in Rakkiyapalayam village.

When the public and devotees came to know about this, they went to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department official and asked him to do so.

Action should be taken against those who are threatening the public. This is stated in the petition.
