On the eve of Bakrid, anti-bomb squad police raid vehicles near mosques in order to ensure safety and security for those who have gathered to offer their prayers in light of the holiday. The Indian Army has been monitoring the situation closely, and is providing extra protection along the Indo-Pak border to prevent any untoward incident from occurring.



Coimbatore: The anti-bomb squad police conducted a raid on vehicles parked near the mosque on the eve of Bakrid.



As Bakrid is observed today, a great number of Muslims perform special prayers in mosques and in public spaces. Meanwhile, police security has been deployed throughout the country. The Indian Army has been keeping a constant vigil, especially along the Indo-Pak border.



In this situation, Coimbatore city police conducted raids on vehicles parked near mosques using advanced equipment. Searches were also carried out on suspicious items kept near mosques.
