Chennai - Covai Vande Bharat Express ranks Third Place in the Nation's Fastest Trains List!

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore-Chennai Vande Bharath train is ranked third among the country's quickest trains.

On April 8, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express 20644 between Coimbatore and Chennai. The train runs 6 days a week except Wednesdays.

The Vande Bharat train will leave Coimbatore at 6 am and reach Chennai at 11.50 pm and from Chennai at 2.25 pm and reach Coimbatore at 8.15 pm.

Since its launch, the train has achieved a new record for regular bookings. The waiting list of passengers is on the rise. The train covers a total distance of 500 km between Chennai and Coimbatore in 5 hours and 50 minutes.

The standard fare is Rs 1,365 (including meal), and the executive fee is Rs 2,485 (including food).

The Coimbatore-Chennai Vande Bharath train runs from Coimbatore to Jolarpettai at a speed of 110 kmph and from Jolarpettai to Chennai at a speed of 130 kmph

It runs between Coimbatore and Chennai at an average speed of 90 km per hour. It is third in the country.

The list has been released by the railway administration.

The Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat train tops the list, with a top speed of 96.37 kmph.

The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Kamlapati Vande Bharat train is ranked second, with a top speed of 95.89 kmph, and the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat train is third, with a top speed of 90.36 kmph.

The Chennai-Mysore Vande Bharat train is ranked 10th, with a top speed of 79.36 kmph.
