'CM M K Stalin should release the evidence of PM Modi's statement that he would give Rs. 15 lakh, otherwise tender a public apology to the people:' Vanathi Srinivasan

The BJP Women's Wing National President clarified that during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign, Prime Minister Modi had only said, "If black money stashed abroad is recovered, it will be enough to give Rs.15 lakh to every Indian." to make people understand the amount of money stashed away by corrupt politicians and their benami businessmen.

Coimbatore: The BJP Women's Wing National President and Coimbatore South Assembly constituency member Vanathi Srinivasan has issued a statement saying, "Speaking at the marriage ceremony of a DMK functionary's residence on June 9, Chief Minister M K Stalin had said that some people are angry and jealous because of the Women's Rights scheme.

That is why they criticize everything. Before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the CM has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to give Rs.15 lakh to a person but has not given even Rs. 15. This is a blatant lie. During the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign, Prime Minister Modi said, "If black money stashed abroad is recovered, it will be enough to give Rs.15 lakh to every Indian." He said so to make people understand the amount of money stashed away by corrupt politicians and their benami businessmen.

However, corruption-ridden parties, including the Congress and the DMK, are spreading lies among the people that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to give Rs 15 lakh to each Indian, deliberately concealing this fact. Even before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, they tried to deceive the people by spreading this myth. But it did not reach the people. The BJP had won 282 seats in 2014 and 303 in 2019.

The Chief Minister's son, Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has been repeating this twist over and over again. It is highly condemnable that people in important positions such as the Chief Minister and the Minister are repeating a lie over and over again. They should come out with the evidence that PM Modi has said that he will give Rs. 15 lakh to each Indian. Otherwise, they should apologise publicly to the people for what they have said," demanded Vanathi Srinivasan.
