Young man sentenced to 20 years in jail for sexually assaulting 17-year old girl near Dharapuram

The Tirupur Mahila Court has sentenced Rajkumar (25), a resident of Semmandagoundan Pudur, to 20 years in jail for threatening and sexually assaulting the 17-year-old daughter of blind parents near Dharapuram.


Tirupur: A 17-year-old girl has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for allegedly threatening, threatening and sexually assaulting her near Dharapuram.

The 17-year-old girl of a blind couple from Thillaigoundanpudur near Mulanur near Dharapuram in Tirupur district had come from home to help her parents.

Rajkumar (25), a resident of semmandagoundan pudur in the neighbouring village, He allegedly took advantage of his parents' visually impaired situation to come to the girl's house and threaten her, threaten her and continue to sexually assault her.

In 2021, the girl's parents lodged a complaint with the Dharapuram all-women police station, demanding a proper inquiry and action against Rajkumar, who was six months pregnant.

The women's police, who conducted an investigation on the complaint, confirmed through investigation and medical examination that Rajkumar had threatened and sexually assaulted the girl and made her pregnant.

Following this, Dharapuram All Women Police Station Inspector Selvam filed a POCSO case in the Tirupur Mahila Court along with the investigation report. The girl gave birth to a baby girl between the last two years of investigation.

It was handed over to the children's home by the police as it could not be brought up by the blind parents.



Meanwhile, mahila court judge Babu gave a sensational verdict sentencing Rajkumar to 20 years in jail for threatening and raping a minor girl and impregnating her in the POCSO case at the Tirupur Mahila Court.
