The Coimbatore District Education Department Administrative Officers' Association, who were on a hunger strike demanding promotions, continued their protest by cooking and eating at the district chief education office itself.
Coimbatore: The Administrative Officers' Association of the Education Department staged a protest at the district chief education office in Coimbatore.
The Coimbatore District Tamil Nadu Education Department Administrative Officers' Association is on a hunger strike inside the district chief education office to press for various demands, including promotions.
In this standby strike, employees ranging from basic staff to ministerial staff should be promoted. Differently abled employees in the laboratory assistant post should be given a transfer when ever they ask for a transfer.
It should be ensured that section clerks in all offices work independently on their own. The demands are being reiterated that the District Education Officer should receive the petitions of the employees at the district level once a month.
Arun Kumar, who is working as a superintendent in the primary education office, has been taking action against the ministry staff and has been urged to be transferred.
In this situation, the police and education department officials held talks with them but the talks failed and they continued the hunger strike by cooking and eating there.
