AIADMK members supporting OPS are on fast seeking judicial probe in to Jayalalitha's death


Former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu J. Jayalalitha was admitted at Apollo hospitals in Chennai after her health condition worsened. She reportedly died at this hospital on 5th of December 2016 without responding to treatment.

Demand for an enquiry into the circumstances of her death gained momentum and a judicial probe was called for by a section of AIADMK party members and public.



O. Panneerselvam who was sworn in as the interim chief minister resigned from his post as chief minister post in February this year. After submitting his resignation he met the media in front her J.Jayalalitha’s tomb. He said that there is a mystery in death of J.Jayalalitha and he also said that he was attacked by the members of the Sasikala family. Following this press meet that was hosted by O.Panneerselvam the AIADMK was split into two.



O.Panneerselvam and the AIADMK party members who are on his side continued to raise the issue of mystery in the death of former chief minister J.Jayalalitha. Today O.Panneerselvam supporters conducted a fasting protest at Sivananda colony in Coimbatore. They demanded that the central government should order for a judicial probe into the death of J. Jayalalitha.
