Tirupur:The Communist Party of India (Marxist) held a demonstration in Tirupur, demanding the resumption of trains that had been stopped because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Every day, a huge number of passengers travel by train from Tirupur to Erode and Coimbatore districts for work purposes, as well as from Tirupur to Erode and Coimbatore districts.
Meanwhile, passengers are alleged to be experiencing significant difficulties as a result of the passenger train's suspension during the COVID-19 period.
The CPI(M) staged a protest in front of the Tirupur railway station, seeking the resumption of train services that had been stopped during the Covid-19 period.
They also raised slogans demanding that basic amenities at Tirupur railway station be renovated to meet the needs of the existing population.
Due to the demonstration, there was a tense situation at Tirupur railway station for some time.
