Clash between two BJP office-bearers in Udumalpet

Arun Prasad, a BJP functionary from Gomangalam Pudur near Udumalpet, was attacked by a mob and his skull was broken. Udumalai Panchayat Union BJP councillor Nagamanickam's house was attacked with stones, alleging that he was responsible for this.



Tirupur: In a shocking incident, a man was fractured in a clash between two BJP functionaries near Udumalpet.



Arun Prasad hails from Gomangalam Pudur in Pollachi taluk near Udumalaipettai in Tirupur district.



He stopped sand trucks going to Kerala claiming that he was in charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party's IT wing.

He has complained that the mineral resources of Tamil Nadu are being smuggled to Kerala. However, officials have been maintaining that the vehicles are moving only with proper documents. Arun Prasad has also alleged that some BJP functionaries are not taking money and not stopping trucks going to Kerala.

He has also levelled allegations against several BJP functionaries.



There have been several clashes between Nagamanickam and Arun Prasad, who are udumalai panchayat union councillors and udumalai north zone presidents.

The two had a fight over the phone over inappropriate words. In this situation, a gang attacked Arun Prasad in Udumalpet and broke his skull. Arun Prasad went to Nagamanickam's house and threw stones at him and broke the window panes, claiming that the Nagamanickam faction was responsible for this.



Following this, nagamanickam's supporters came to Udumalai police station and staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest of Arun.



Arun Prasad has been admitted to the Udumalai Government Hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Udumalai police have registered a case against both the parties and are investigating the matter. In the meantime, an audio clip of how much commission was taken by the respective BJP functionaries and the audio clip of Arun Prasad and Nagamanickam speaking in abusive language. There is a buzz among the BJP office bearers in Udumalpet as it is going viral on social media.
