Women India Movement staged a protest demanding an end to the atrocities on women in Manipur

A state-wide protest was held Saturday on behalf of The Women India Movement. As part of this, Coimbatore district organisations staged a protest in Ukkadam area of Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: A clash between two communities in Manipur three months ago has turned into a riot. According to reports, hundreds of people were killed and thousands were seriously injured.



In a shocking incident, two manipuri women were sexually assaulted and the whole world was shocked. People from various walks of life have been protesting against this and are holding protests and protests.

In this context, a state-wide protest was held Saturday on behalf of The Women India Movement. As part of this, coimbatore district organisations staged a protest in Ukkadam area of Coimbatore. More than 30 people participated in the protest, which was led by district president Kamila Banu. They raised slogans condemning the rape of women in Manipur and demanding stringent punishment for the culprits involved in the incident.
