Stalin is behaving two-faced on Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme - Edappadi Palanisamy

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is touring various places in Salem district. The AIADMK flag hoisting ceremony was held at Nachiyoor in Kurumbapatti panchayat near Konkanapuram.

Coimbatore: AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday accused Chief Minister M K Stalin of playing a double role in the Magalir Urimai Thogai issue.

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is touring various places in Salem district. The AIADMK flag hoisting ceremony was held at Nachiyoor in Kurumbapatti panchayat near Konkanapuram.

Edappadi K Palaniswami, who hoisted the AIADMK flag at the function, said, the DMK government had said that all housewives would be given a monthly entitlement of Rs 1,000 at the time of elections. Today, they claim to offer it only to certain people.

Due to this, various conditions are imposed when even the ordinary poor housewives are not able to get the dues. Mk Stalin is playing a double role in this issue.

The Tamil Nadu government, in alliance with industrialists, has ignored the price rise. The DMK had promised during its election manifesto that all construction materials would be included in the essential list. But that promise has been left to fly in the air today.

We know that tomatoes are currently selling more than the price of apples. People are suffering due to this price rise. Various schemes including marriage assistance for women, laptop scheme, thalikku thangam, etc., brought in by the AIADMK regime have been stalled.

These schemes will be brought in when the AIADMK comes back to power. Edappadi Palanisamy said.
