Application process for Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme begins in Thudiyalur

The process of issuing applications for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme, which provides a monthly entitlement of Rs.1,000 to housewives at the fair price shops under Ashokapuram Panchayath near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore, has commenced.



Coimbatore: The process of issuing application forms for the Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme at Ashokapuram near Thudiyalur has begun.

The DMK manifesto had promised to give Rs 1,000 per month to women. The women who do business on the footpaths, the mothers engaged in agricultural work in the fields, the fisherwomen.

It was announced that the scheme would be implemented so that women working in the construction industry, women working in small shops and small scale industries for low wages would get Rs 1,000 per month.

No other state in India has implemented such a scheme so far. The project is expected to be a pilot project for all other states. The scheme has been named as "Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme".

The government has announced that the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme, which provides a monthly entitlement of Rs 1,000 to housewives, will be launched from September 15.

Officials and officials have been instructed to carry out preparations and identification of beneficiaries in every district. The Magalir Urimai Thogai will be given to eligible women based on economic criteria and other details.

The sample application form for this scheme was released 2 days ago. Special camps have been conducted to identify the beneficiaries and issue applications.



As a part of this, a function was held at the ration shops under Ashokapuram Panchayat near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore to hand over the application form to the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme, which provides a monthly entitlement of Rs.1,000 to the housewives.



DMK office-bearers, including union councillor Kala Shantaram and Senthil, and women participated in large numbers.
