As per the court order, 13 acres and 12 cents of land belonging to various temples worth Rs 3 crore, which were under encroachment in and around Dharapuram, were recovered and handed over to the temple administration.

10.98 acres of wet land belonging to Arulmigu Kadu Hanumantharayar Swamy Temple in Dharapuram was voluntarily handed over.
Similarly, 2.14 acres of wet land belonging to Arulmigu Lakshmi Narayanaswamy Temple in Konapuram belonged to an individual. An appeal in this regard was filed in the Tirupur District Revenue Court.
The court ruled in favour of the temple in the case. On the orders of Tirupur Regional Joint Commissioner Kumara Durai, the land belonging to the temple was reclaimed under the leadership of Tirupur District Assistant Commissioner Jaya Devi.
Accordingly, 13 acres and 12 cents of land belonging to the temple worth about Rs 3 crore was recovered. The reclaimed land was handed over to the temple administration.
