Coimbatore: The Congress conducted special poojas at the Dandu Mariamman temple in Coimbatore to pray for the recovery of party's Tamil Nadu state president K S Alagiri.
Two days ago, K S Alagiri, the Tamil Nadu state president of the Congress party, sustained injuries when he stumbled and fell down while he was walking. He has been admitted to a hospital there and is undergoing treatment.
In this situation, the Coimbatore City District Congress workers performed special pujas at the famous Dandu Mariamman temple in Coimbatore to wish him a speedy recovery and return home.
The special pooja was presided over by state vice-president Azhagu Jayapal and the poojas were performed. Several functionaries, including advocate Senthil Kumar, and Congress workers participated in the meeting.
