In Udumalpet, various associations, including Rotary, Rocteract and Inner Wheel, conducted volleyball, football and elocution competitions for school students. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
Tirupur: Prizes were distributed to the winners of the sports competitions jointly organised by rotary associations near Udumalpet.
Udumalai Rotary, Roctarict, Inner Wheel and Schools Interactive Societies of Tirupur district jointly organized various sports and art and literature competitions including volleyball, football, elocution competition for the students of Udumalpet block school.
About 5,000 students participated in the competition and participated enthusiastically.
At the end of the competition, prize distribution ceremony was held for the winning students.
Captain Manikandan, principal of Amaravathi Sainik School, participated in the function held at Rotary House in Udumalai Andal Srinivasan Layout and presented certificates to the students who participated in the competition and prizes to the winners.
Rotary Club Association office bearers Sivaprakash, Meenakshi Sundaram, Nagaraj, Meenakshi, Kumaravel, Balagurusamy, Ganesan and Vignesh Ponmani Ganesan Manoj were among those who attended the function.
